BYU Map Collections

This is a collection of maps, atlases, and gazetteers selected by university personnel and library patrons. The images cover multiple centuries, and initially originated from the Brigham Young University, Harold B. Lee Library, Special Collections, and Map Collection. Additional materials may be included from other collections and university departments, as time progresses. Wherever possible, maps have been georeferenced using ESRI ArcMap software, and include a World File for use in a GIS. The maps themselves have not been altered from the original. To access the World Files (e.g. .tfwx), click on "All Files: HTTP" in the “View the book” box. If the map is segmented, or includes large insets, multiple World Files may exist for each image. Atlases will have World Files for each map page.
